About Me

About Me

Hello! My name is Marcus. In 2001, I co-founded eHana, a SaaS EHR for behavioral health and human service provider organizations. I served as chief technology officer until 2016, when I left my co-founder Jake to continue guiding the ship while I searched out new waters to roam.

Before eHana, I graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. While at university, I worked as an undergrad in the Knowledge-Based Systems group at the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology.

Before that, back in the hanabada days I grew up on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, and graduated from Punahou High School.

Places I've been
Places I’ve been so far — there are so many more to visit!

I enjoy working with and rallying people to build great things. I love to travel and experience the world, and bring back good memories and epic photos. I’m interested in tinkering with new technologies, and writing the software that powers all manner of websites. On planet Earth, I enjoy hiking, backpacking, swimming, cycling, running, and snowboarding. I’ve been a vegetarian since 1997.
